Dissolve a small sample of the substance in water

Dip the test strip into the solution for 15 seconds

Remove and lay flat for 2-5 minutes

How to Use Narcan

Acting quickly can save a life. Follow these steps if you suspect an opioid overdose.

Step 1:

Recognize

Look for signs: unconscious, slow/no breathing, blue lips

Step 2:

Call 911

Get emergency help on the way immediately

Step 3:

Position

Lay the person on their back

Step 4:

Administer

Insert nozzle in nostril, press plunger firmly

Step 5:

Repeat

If no response in 2-3 minutes, give another dose
